Best for NYC: Best Practices

by Don Friedman on December 3, 2015

It may seem from this series of blog posts on the Best for NYC Challenge that I think every business should take the challenge, or go further and be certified as a B Corp. That’s actually not true. In my opinion, the important part of both the B Corp movement and the Challenge is the idea behind them: businesses can be about more than profit. Obviously businesses have to make enough money to continue in operation, but success is not incompatible with working towards goals that benefit the companies’ employees, the communities in which they are located, and the environment in general.

Why am I writing these posts? Because asking people to think about all of those goals is, in my opinion, a way to move towards them myself.
