I’m pretty sure that the New York City government is ineligible to compete in the Best for NYC Challenge but it’s worth pointing out that the Challenge isn’t happening in a vacuum. To look at only one aspect of the challenge, benefits for the environment, we find information on Green Buildings & Energy Efficiency from the Mayor’s Office of Sustainability, green initiatives from the Department of City Planning, and public education on environment-friendly living. Ignoring the annoyingly-cute mascot at the last link, this is all great stuff – both useful and well presented.
And finally, of course, the New York City Economic Development Corporation is running the Best for NYC Challenge.
