When I announced that OSE had become a Certified B Corp I promised that I’d be discussing the topic more “in the coming weeks.” In the way of blogs, weeks became months, but now is the time.
The New York City Economic Development Corporation and B Lab, the non-profit that certifies B Corps, have teamed up to create the Best for NYC Challenge. The idea is to highlight practices that improve local businesses and those businesses that have incorporated good practices. A good place to start is with this video:
As a B Corp located in New York City, we’ll be participating by highlighting various aspects of the closely-related B Lab Assessment and the Best for NYC Challenge, as well as other companies in New York that are Certified B Corps.
With a little luck, this will be a daily series of blog posts while the Challenge goes on.
